SC’s 2020-21 migratory bird seasons and limits are set
The SCDNR has finalized and published South Carolina’s 2020-21 migratory bird season dates and limits. The first season to come in will be the Early Canada Geese season, which begins Sept. 1, 2020.
The Early Canada Geese season is one of the most overlooked seasons in the Carolinas, and it’s when the daily bag limit and possession limits are the most friendly to hunters.

The heat, the close proximity to the dove season opener, and the upcoming deer seasons all contribute to the lack of popularity in this season. However, hunters who pursue geese this time of year have a lot of luck, and limit out regularly.
Next up is the ever-popular Mourning Dove season, which begins at noon on Sept. 5, 2020.
