Clemson going ‘whole hog’ after feral pigs

The Clemson Cooperative Extension Service has established the South Carolina Wild Hog Task Force to coordinate educational, research and management efforts to reduce the problems associated with wild hogs in our state.

The state’s recent and dramatic increase in the distribution and abundance of wild hogs has lead to an upsurge in damage to natural, agricultural, and developed landscapes.

Feral hogs have been reported in every county in the state, and the population is estimated at approximately 150,000, and growing. Clemson.edu/extension/natural_resources/wildlife/wildhogs.
