Kenneth Raynor of Concord, NC killed a 12-point buck in Montgomery County, NC on Nov. 1, 2026.
He shot the buck with a muzzleloader during a morning hunt while sitting in an elevated stand from 25 yards away.
Raynor summed up the hunt with these words:
“The morning of daylight savings when the buck would normally be in and out right before daylight but not this morning, he was on his regular schedule and well waited till right at first light was on to walk in with no light, got in my stand looked at my phone for a few mins and looked up about 10 mins later and the biggest we all had on camera (in a hunt club I’m a part of), steps in right behind a doe was “Rockstar” that we had been calling him and got him in my sights tried to keep it all together and perfect shot, didn’t go 20! Still shaking in disbelief.”
Raynor is now entered in our Bag-A-Buck Contest, and is eligible to win our monthly prize pack, which includes a set of Ultimate Eyes & Ears Combo from ShellShock Pro, a YETI Rambler bottle, a prize package from Buck Commander and Duck Commander, and a Carolina Sportsman hat, as well as our Grand Prize, a 2-day hunt for two to Cherokee Run Hunting Lodge in Chesterfield County, SC.
