Bryson Fuller wins October Bag-A-Buck

Oxford hunter killed 16-point buck

Bryson Fuller of Oxford, NC won the Carolina Sportsman October 2026 Bag-A-Buck Contest with his Granville County 16-point buck.

Fuller killed the buck with a Ravin R10 crossbow at 25 yards while hunting from the ground on Sept. 28. He entered the Bag-A-Buck Contest on Oct. 3 and was selected as the winner for that month.

“I had this deer on camera last year during the 2025 season as a 115-inch 8-point,” said Fuller. “After having cameras out this year, it wasn’t long before he showed up and had blown into a monster buck compared to the year before.”

Fuller decided to hunt that buck hard, so that’s where his efforts went. After not seeing the deer throughout his first several sits in his blind, Fuller was happy to see the buck show up on that evening while several other deer held the hunter’s attention.

“I was watching about eight does and a 120-inch, 8-point buck when suddenly, I saw the buck I was after and another 8-point coming in across the field,” he said. “He made his way up to 25 yards and I shot him.”

After the shot, the big buck ran about 120 yards and then collapsed for good.

Fuller wins an Ultimate Eyes & Ears Combo from ShellShock Pro, a YETI Rambler bottle, a Buck Commander hat and a Carolina Sportsman hat.
