Calls are many, varied and used

Coyote will come to a variety of sounds made by electronic and manual calls.

It’s legal to use manual or electronic calls for coyotes. Both are effective, and it really comes down to an individual hunter’s preference.

Many use electronic exclusively for their ability to hold hundreds of sounds. Others prefer hand calls such as closed-reed and open-reed variety. Each has its own benefits, but most successful predator hunters carry all kinds and let the situation dictate which to use.

Modern electronic calls have tremendous volume and can really reach out to bring in predators as far as a half-mile away. Having the availability to switch from one to the other is one of the necessary tools a hunter needs to be successful in the coyote woods.
