OUTNUMBERED moves into second place on Day 4 of Big Rock

OUTNUMBERED shook things up on Day 4 of the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. They weighed in a 512.4-pound blue marlin, taking over second place in Heaviest Blue Marlin category.

Billy Thompson was the angler who caught the marlin after a 40-minute fight.

“Everybody on the crew did a fantastic job. And the Captain (James Breen)— he put us on the fish and all I had to do was reel it in,” said Thompson. “It’s a fantastic feeling.”

Capt. Breen said they never saw the fish until it bit.

“We didn’t know it was there until it bit. He decided to take it. We got lucky.”

“It’s been a little discouraging the last couple of days. The fishing’s been a little bit slower. But it (the marlin) just came out of nowhere and crashed on a long rigger. I’ve got two really good mates here this week. It’s really an honor. Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to fish the Big Rock. So to come here and weigh a fish is pretty special,” said Breen.

WIDE SPREAD also weighed a blue marlin on Day 4. They took over 3rd place with their 479.2 pound fish. Two other boats weighed blue marlin as well. NATURAL still leads the Heaviest Marlin category with their 521.6 pounder from Day 2.

HEELS N REELS won the Gregory Poole 1st Release of the Day on Day 4. They released a white marlin, winning the $5000 daily prize money.

In the Heaviest Dolphin division, FIN PRINT jumped into first with a 48.3-pound mahi, unseating LOW PROFILE, the category leader since Day 1, and now in second place. MEMORIES is in third with their 38.5 pounder from the first day.
