How to tackle your tackle efficiently

Organizing tackle can be a big job but well worth the effort when you get on the water.

Sometimes there’s just nothing better to do than roll around in your tackle and dream of the great fishing season ahead.

There may be a little drool involved that results from thinking about how nice that new rod is going to be or how that new crankbait is going to run.

I’ve been organizing my tackle for next season on the Bassmasters Elite Series for the past week or so. I finally hit a wall, and it was time to come in and write about it.

All I have done so far is two boxes of jigs. Within these boxes, every bait is ready for competition. The only thing I wait to do when I’m on the water is trim the skirt. I let the water conditions dictate the thickness and length of the skirt.
