Both gobblers were killed on April 2
Riley Hughes, 12-years-old, and her sister Kate Hughes, 8-years-old, both of Deep Run, N.C. killed gobblers on April 2, the first day of North Carolina’s 2022 youth season.
Riley killed her gobbler in Craven County in the morning. Kate’s hunt was a little later in Lenoir County. Both young ladies were shooting a Weatherby 20-gauge.
