Thankfully Blessed to harvest the biggest buck of my life

I had had this Buck on camera for about 5 weeks. The last couple weeks he had been consistently on one stand. But would only come in at night time.
This past Sunday afternoon I was sitting the stand that he had been coming in to.around 7:25 pm I saw a deer enter the peanut field and start eating. After sizing the deer up I decided to take a shot once the deer gave me a good broadside opportunity. I took my time and made a good shot on what I thought was a good size doe. But to my surprise it turned out to be the 10 point that I had on camera for the last 5 weeks.
I’ve been hunting for 49 years and this is the biggest buck I’ve ever taken. In 49 years I’ve killed 171 deer and some very nice bucks over the years but nothing as big as this one. I’ll always treasure the memory and the blessing of this deer.
A couple days later I went back with a rangefinder to see how far the shot was and it was 160 yd.
The deer only weighed 160 lb but he had a 18 and a half inch inside spread and green scored around 128 hopefully he will make it into the South Carolina record book after I get him back from the taxidermy and have him scored.
I was hunting with a 300 Weatherby Magnum using Steiner optics and Barns vortex ammo.
