On Oct. 25, 2020 in Harnett County, N.C., I killed this 175-pound, 10-point buck. The antlers don’t show very good in this picture since this was a selfie. This was my first 300 AAC Blackout harvest.
I caught him sneaking around in the woods 65 yards from my tree stand ignoring the food plots. I got a clean double lung shot when he stepped between two trees. He went 10 yards before he piled up at the base of a tree.
I shot him with a Barnes 110-grain TTX through my Remington 700 SPS at 6 p.m.
