Been hunting the deer since opening day of archery season. I hunted him nearly every day but he was always out there when I wasn’t. After hurricane helene hit, I knew I had to be in my stand because I knew he would be on his feet. He read the script perfectly.. he came in exactly has I had imagined it in my mind many times. He turned broadside at 26 yards and I drew back still sitting and made a perfect shot that double lunged him with my Mathew’s prima. I called my husband immediately and he met me at my stand, we tracked him about 60 yards. He is now known as the “Helene Buck”. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by Helene.
