Michael Dickens saw a wild-looking 22-point buck in Iredell County, NC on Friday Sept. 22, 2003, but the deer was too far away for an ethical shot. Dickens killed the buck 2 days later at 7:20 p.m with a 10-yard shot from his crossbow.
“I saw him Friday afternoon, but he was just too far for a shot,” said Dickens. “Sunday when I spotted him again, I slipped out of the stand and eased around on him.”
