The Yadkin Valley chapter of the Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation is holding its second annual Youth Only dove hunt for youngsters age 15 and under on Saturday, Sept. 12, in Welcome N.C.

Hunts will be at 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 455 Tall Pines Rd. in Welcome. Stands are limited; reserve yours early. If you reserve a stand and unforeseen circumstances arise and you would not be attending please advise immediately.

The deadline to sign up for the hunt is Sept. 9 at 9 p.m. To reserve your stand, call 336-682-3456. Drawing for stands will be 6:00 a.m. for morning hunt and 1:00 p.m. for afternoon hunt.

To be eligible for the hunt, youth should have successfully completed hunter’s education. Youth must be accompanied with a parent or guardian who has a valid North Carolina hunting license. You should bring your own stool(s), safety glasses, and ear protection.

This field will not be hunted prior to this hunt.
