Most kids get excited about December because of Christmas, rooms full of presents and visits from the chubby guy in the red suit who seems to be on every street corner this month.
As a kid, I looked forward to Christmas for the usual reasons, but the holidays offered me a lot more than most kids my age.
Christmas meant hunting trips.
