SCDNR’s online viewer

South Carolina is covered with public-hunting opportunities, and most are part of S.C. Department of Natural Resources’ WMA program.

Through grants and in-house assistance, SCDNR has incorporated all of its WMA lands into an on-line viewer (scdata.dnr.sc.gov/website/lands/viewer.htm). The viewer provides location information for named and unnamed WMA properties, as well as aerial photographs, USGS topography maps, dove fields, waterfowl impoundments and many other GIS data layers.

Hunters can measure distances and acreages to assist in their planning. The viewer offers navigation to each public area with ease and can be printed.

SCDNR has also produced a map set for each WMA. They can be downloaded and printed free of charge from the website (www.dnr.sc.gov/wma/index.htm).
