Don’t forget Urban Archery Deer Season

Late Urban Archery deer season is held only in certain NC townships

The words “deer season is over” is a crushing blow to many North Carolina hunters, but many of those same hunters don’t even know that they can pick up their archery gear once again on Jan. 13, and hunt deer through Feb. 18, in certain cities and townships.

New areas are added to the list of participating cities and towns each year. To find the most up-to-date list, visit eregulations.com/northcarolina/hunting/deer-regulations.

The Urban Archery Season is available for cities, towns and villages that submit a map no larger than 11 inches by 17 inches, clearly defining the area included in the season by April 1.

To have your township added to the list, have officials contact the Wildlife Management Division at 919-707-0050.
