Dixie Deer Classic is March 3-5

It’s the biggest deer expo in NC

The Dixie Deer Classic is slated for March 3 – 5 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC. Special guests this year will include TV host Michael Waddell of Bone Collector fame, Rachel Ahtila, a professional hunting guide, and YouTube gun celebrity Hickok45.

This year’s events include the Carolina Dock Dogs competition, the Venison Chili Cookoff,  the Southeastern Call Makers competition, the Kids Scavenger Hunt, the Trail Cam Contest, and the main event, the Whitetail Deer Competition and Black Bear competition.

A 2023 Polaris ATV will be given away, as well as numerous other door and raffle prizes throughout the weekend.

Numerous vendors will have booths set up throughout several buildings at the fairgrounds. Seminars will be conducted throughout the weekend and deer and black bear scoring will take place as well.

The wall of trophies will be on display, showing this year’s entrants as well as some of North Carolina’s biggest deer killed in past years.
