315 coyotes killed at 2022 Carolina Coyote Classic

The 9th Annual Carolina Coyote Classic took place the weekend of Feb. 4-6. Sixty-nine teams of hunters killed a tournament record 315 coyotes during the event, which featured hunters in the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia and Tennessee.

Team Lynches River Mafia won the event with a total of 23 coyotes killed. They eked out the win through a tie-breaker (heaviest coyote) with Team Minton, Pethel, Wright, who also had 23 coyotes.

In the Fat Dog Class, Team Rocky River Reapers took the top spot with a 45.41-pound coyote.
