Take your dad fishing this Father’s Day

Ask pro angler Brian Latimer what he'd like for Father's Day, and it's a pretty good bet he'll say a day of fishing with his family.

Time spent together in the outdoors beats a pair of socks

It’s not always easy to find that perfect Father’s Day gift. And while dads everywhere appreciate the effort it takes to look for that perfect present, they’d really like nothing more than to spend quality time with their kids.

And when it comes to quality family time, it’s tough to beat a fishing trip with pops. Chances are, he feels the same way about spending time with his family, no matter how old his kids are.

It doesn’t hurt to have a boat, but even if you don’t, that’s not a problem. You can hire a guide, or just keep things simple and take him fishing from a pier, the banks of a neighborhood pond, a river, or a public park.

And it doesn’t matter if you’re fishing for catfish, bream, bass, or flounder. Making memories with dad is what it’s all about, and no matter how hard you shop, you’ll never find a more rewarding gift than that.
