Bigeye tuna school with their own or with other tuna, including skipjacks, true albacore and yellowfins.
They are stubby and rounded rather than sleek like yellowfins and albacore. The black margins on the yellow finlets are broad and prominent in bigeye, thin and barely noticeable in yellowfins.
