Sunrise photos capture unique images on Lea Island
Mac Roop of Jacksonville, N.C. was camped out on Lea Island this week, and captured a series of photos showing him hook into and land a 29-inch red drum. Luckily, he’d just set up a camera to take a time lapse of the sunrise. The fish hit the rod that was in the frame. That’s great timing!
Check out the series of photos to see a beautiful sunrise and a beautiful redfish.
Ready to kick back and watch the sunrise, Mac Roop sprang into action when a fish hit his rod.
Roop’s camera was perfectly positioned to capture the moment.
With the sunrise urging him on, Roop fought the fish in the surf.
The red drum was looking for an early morning snack, and put up a good fight for Roop.
Roop caught, then released the over-the-slot drum wondering if it’s possible to experience a better start to a day than this.
