That is a very nice flounder, but if it was caught on Oct 29,2023 in the Bay River (NC) then isn’t that an illegal fish? NC flounder season was the last two weeks of September.
It is not illegal to catch a flounder any time of the year. And it’s not illegal to take a photo of a flounder at any time of year. As long as they released this fish, then they did nothing illegal.
