Anglers busted with 21 flounder over the limit

SCDNR officers Graham, Chatfield and Owens stopped a boat while patrolling the North Inlet area of Georgetown County for a license and creel limit inspection, and found the anglers had numerous violations. The violations included 11 undersized flounder, and 21 flounder more than the legal limit.

The officers also found three undersized sheepshead. One of the anglers did not have the required saltwater fishing license.

They wrote a total of 15 citations and 10 warnings, and seized a total of 24 illegal fish, which were donated to a local community organization.
