Pro catfish angler shows how it’s done

Fishing for big blue catfish requires big baits, but many anglers have trouble when it comes to properly placing their big baits on a hook. Should the hook pass through just once? Or should the bait be threaded on? Should the point of the hook be exposed or buried into the bait?

B ‘n’ M pro staffer Brooke Wilbanks has caught her share of big blues while fishing on the catfish tournament trail, and she’s won her share of tournaments with partner David Shipman, including the 2015 World Championship of Catfishing.

Wilbanks shows her technique for hooking a big bait for blue catfish in this video.
