Excel F4 Center Console

Excel’s shallow-water center console models, paired with Mud Buddy outboards, will take fishermen and hunters into tough-to-reach places.

The F4 and F86 Center Console shallow-water boats harken back to the beginnings of the Excel Boat Co. With deep roots in duck hunting flooded Arkansas timber, Excel began with a need for tough durable boats and has grown to be a premier manufacturer of affordable models targeting the unique needs of outdoor recreational enthusiasts. Excel’s motto is “One weld at a time,” and its commitment to quality is readily evident.

The F4 and F86 Center Consoles are built to pair with the new Mud Buddy HDR motors that feature reverse and electric shifting and have been designed to accommodate remote steering. Now, hunters and fishermen can benefit from the versatility and convenience of a remote-steer setup while still having the ability to go where conventional outboards can’t. This drive system has been in use for more than 15 years and is often called the most-dependable drive ever built. Pair that with the ruggedness and dependability of an Excel hull, and it’s a combination that leaps to the top of its class.

Excel boats, engineered to take a beating and hold up, are built to exceed industry standards. All welds are done by hand, the hull strength comes from 2- by 4-inch longitudinal ribs that are stitch welded the full length of the hull. Paired with the Exceleration™ Hull with flat/slick bottom and Triple Tapered chine that allows the boat to roll into turns, it provides handling in tight quarters and is the perfect match with Mud Buddy motors for hunters and fishermen that want to get to, or go through, the nasty, shallow stuff.
