Casey Ashley finishes 4th at Bassmaster Elite Toledo Bend

Casey Ashley took 4th place in the Bassmaster Elite Toledo Bend tournament.

Anthony Gagliardi takes 10th in FLW at Lake Cumberland

Casey Ashley of Donalds, S.C. finished 4th in the Bassmaster Elite at Toledo Bend tournament this past weekend, and he wasn’t the only angler from the Carolinas to take a top 10 finish in major tournaments.

Andy Montgomery of Blacksburg, S.C. finished 6th in the same tournament, weighing in 65-9 and winning $13,500. Ashley had 70-6 for the tournament and won $15,000.

Jason Williamson of Wagener, S.C. took 24th with 43-15 and won $10,000. Hank Cherry of Maiden, N.C. finished 67th with 23-1, Brett HIte of Lake Wylie finished 89th with 19-7, followed by Marty Robinson of Lyman, S.C. in 90th with 19-3. Shane Lineberger of Maiden, N.C. finished 92nd with 18-3.

Williamson is in 2nd place for Bassmaster’s Toyota Angler of the Year award, and Montgomery is in 4th.

The next Bassmaster Elite event is scheduled for April 27 through 30 at Ross Barnett Reservoir in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

At Lake Cumberland, Ky. on the FLW side, Anthony Gagliardi of Prosperity, S.C. took the 10th spot with a 4-day total weight of 48-14, and pocketed $14,000. Bryan Thrift of Shelby, N.C. finished 12th with 41-5, winning $12,000.

Thrift currently sits in 1st place in the FLW’s 2017 Angler of the Year Standings, Gagliardi is in 6th, and Shane Lehew of Catawba, N.C. is in the 7th spot.

Next up for the FLW Tour is also April 27 through 30 at Beaver Lake in Rogers, Arkansas.
