Dozens of boats will be on display

More than 30 South Carolina-made boats, from duck hunting boats to offshore fishing vessels, will be on display at Gamecock Village on Saturday, September 13, when South Carolina takes on Vanderbilt for the South Carolina Boating and Fishing Alliance’s fifth annual Boat Fish Football Expo during Family Weekend.

The showcase opens at 3:15 p.m. ahead of kickoff at 7:45 p.m., and admission is free for all fans.

The SCBFA is proud to return as the title sponsor of the game, continuing its unique partnership with Gamecock Football.

This year’s event will highlight South Carolina-made boats up to 50 feet long, underscoring the craftsmanship of local manufacturers who generate $6.5 billion annually for the state’s economy and support more than 27,000 jobs. New for 2025, fans will again be able to take advantage of special boat show pricing to purchase their dream boat right at the game.

Now in its fifth year, the showcase has become one of the most innovative activation concepts in college sports, attracting more than 20,000 fans annually and earning recognition from Gamecock Athletics for its impact and energy.

“Our goal is to enhance the gameday experience for Gamecock fans, and this continued partnership with SCBFA does exactly that,” said Nick Kistler, General Manager of Gamecock Sports Properties. “The Boat, Fish, Football Expo brings family fun, interactive activities, and incredible South Carolina craftsmanship right into Gamecock Village.”

In addition to the impressive display of boats, fans can enjoy family-friendly activities in Gamecock Village.

Founded in 2021, the South Carolina Boating & Fishing Alliance brings together boat manufacturers, tackle manufacturers, dealers, retailers, and individual boaters and anglers. South Carolina continues to stand out as a national leader in outdoor recreation, with a thriving boating and fishing community across the state.

“Boating, fishing, and football are at the heart of South Carolina culture,” said Gettys Brannon, President & CEO of the SC Boating & Fishing Alliance. “This event celebrates all three, and we’re excited to bring it back for a fifth year to give fans a showcase unlike anything else in college sports.”
