16-year-old’s trophy gobbler had two 11 1/2-inch beards
Natalie Shannon of Prosperity, S.C. killed a trophy gobbler that had two beards and 1 1/8-inch spurs on March 26 during the youth turkey season for South Carolina’s Game Zones 1 & 2. Shannon’s bird weighed 21.4 pounds. Each of the beards measured 11 1/2 inches long.
The teen hunter killed the turkey with a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun.
