Gobbler had 10.75-inch beard
Austin Cherry shot his first turkey on Opening Day of North Carolina’s 2024 Youth Season. The 8-year-old hunter killed the bird with a .410 Rossi shooting Federal TSS No. 9s. The gobbler had a 10.75-inch long beard and spurs that measured 1.25 inches in length.
