Coyote mating season is coming soon which presents an early opportunity for predator hunters to capitalize on right now. Female coyotes are setting up their home territories for rearing pups which results in female coyotes coming to calls aggressively. On a recent hunt I witnessed male multiple coyotes being run off by an aggressive female in a prime feeding area. One female coyote chased another over 700 yards towards me when I had the weaker coyote pass by so close, I could hear the panting of the coyote. The female turned to chase another coyote that was watching the action and ending up coming right up to me for a harvest. The coyote action is hot right now so a hunter can capitalize on this aggression by using female howls and fighting sound sequences. Set up in well-established food source areas where you have a long view and move into the areas you see chasing action.
