Almost exactly 24 hours to the minute after taking one great buck, a deer I’ve been watching for two seasons made his final mistake. I passed on this deer probably 10 times last year hoping he might really blow up this year. He didn’t put on nearly as much bone as I’d hoped, but he sure packed on the pounds. By far the largest bodied NC buck I have taken at 227lbs.
