Morning
Got in the stand before daylight and around 0830 heard a buck grunt off to my right. Called and didn’t see anything, about 45 minutes later a doe comes out to my right about 200 yds away and runs off. I grab the bleat and call and immediately he steps out looking, I put the cross hairs on his neck and he steps behind a tree, I reposition on his front shoulder and squeeze. Gun recoils and I look through the scope and he is standing there. I put another round in the chamber and settle in a squeeze a second shot, this time he jumps and takes off. I wait about 45 minutes and get down to look for blood a I can’t find any, I pick up a track and start following some disturbed ground a broken branches and after about 40yds there he lays.
