14-point buck green-scored 144 2/8 inches

Cody Ahlstrom of Waxhaw, N.C. was bow hunting in Union County on Sept. 29, 2022 when he killed a 14-point buck that’s been green-scored at 144 2/8 inches. He shot the buck with his Elite EnVision bow at approximately 6:50 p.m.

It was a deer Ahlstrom had never seen before that hunt.

“I had no history with this buck. I was hunting a new small block of land I had recently gotten permission to hunt on Thursday Sept. 29,” he said.

That was right before Hurricane Ian pounded the area with wind and rain.

“I slipped in early before the hurricane and got into a tree with my Tethrd Saddle. He was one of the five bucks I saw that afternoon,” he said. “I put a Slick Trick RaptorTrick through him, and the rest is history.

“He is my biggest buck to date,” Ahlstrom said.
