Got in the woods Thanksgiving morning around day break. Shortly after I got settled in it started pouring rain. Sat in the rain for 20 minutes or so and ended up going back to truck due to heavy rain and lightning. Called my dad (who was stuck at home cooking for Thanksgiving😂) He told me to wait out the storm in the truck and go back out. He kept say the big ones will be on their feet after the storm. So I went back out and got set up around 8:15. Around 8:45 I saw him coming down the hill to the left of me. It was really thick area so I had to wait til he got to a open area near a creek bottom. As soon as I could get a clear shot I took it with my ruger SR-762. Dropped him in his tracks. What a great Thanksgiving.
