Stella Vance McKinney kills Avery County brute

Avery County brute was hot on a doe’s trail

I had a blessed Thanksgiving during a rifle hunt in Avery County, NC. I’ve been hunting this deer for two years, last year he had tripe brow tines so I named him triple brow. This year he was a main frame 9 with 3 score able stickers. He came in from behind me and to my right and I couldn’t get a clear shot on him due to some saplings and laurel. He turned and started down the hill from my stand and hit a hot doe’s trail that had just came through 20 minutes before and took off running, and I was able to get a clear shot and dropped him.
