Skylar Martin’s Buck

I had seen this deer about 3 weeks prior to harvesting, he came in about 7 yards behind me and could never get a shot being there were 2 does 15 yards Infront of me watching me and him. Then by the grace of god, I said a prayer the last afternoon bow hunt of the season for myself, and sure enough, a few minutes before legal like ended, he came in pushing a doe. He ran to her knocking her about 5 feet with his horns, as she took off, he looked to the feed pile and seen 2 does in it, and marched towards me. He came within 5 feet of my ladder before turning and making his way to them. I drew back, and as he made his way up to them, scratched his back leg on the ground like a bull, and I shot before he could push them and possibly lose my last opportunity at seeing him again. The shot was a very quartered one, but I put the Rage Extreme in the perfect spot with my obsession bow. Not knowing how good of a shot it was, I backed out and gave him about an hour and a half before going to recover, where I ended up finding him about 45 yards away.
