Sawyer Branham’s Fairfield County buck

Fairfield County buck

Fairfield County buck was quartering away

Sawyer Branham killed this Fairfield County buck on Oct. 13, 2023 at 8:20 a.m.

As a father who loves the outdoors, sharing this moment with his son is unbelievable. As if the pure joy that deer hunting brings Sawyer, isn’t enough, pair that with his first day of fall break being our first hunting opportunity together of the year, add in an awesome buck, and you soon realize the simple blessings in life.

After his finger being smashed in the door when he tried to catch the door from slamming as we tried to quietly make it to our stand, Sawyer rebounded and remained patient through six deer until he saw this fella. He stayed steady over his Browning 6.5 and made a great quartering away shot. The sound of the deer crashing was celebrated by many high fives, fist bumps and hugs from a proud dad!
