Randolph County hunter shoots solid 8-point

Randolph County

Randolph County buck showed up in the rain

I woke up Nov. 15, 2022  and I had the day off due to rain. My number one shooter shows up first light in the rain so I took off and hunted him. By 8 a.m. I haven’t seen anything so looking at the forecast it looks like the rain is setting in around 9 a.m.

I climbed down, drove right down the road to get breakfast. While I’m eating, my cell cams go off for the spot I just left and there was a shooter buck in the corn. So here I am extremely frustrated so I decided to take off to a piece of property I own that I never really hunt with plans to rattle aggressively.

I pull up at 9:01 a.m. It’s an 8-minute walk to my stand. As soon as I sat down I hit the black racks for 20 seconds. I look down the shooting lane once I finished and there he stood. I killed him by 9:13 a.m.
