Noah Martin’s huge game lands buck

Game lands buck green-scored 146+ inches

I shot this buck on game lands with a rifle in Gates County, NC after having him on camera for 3 years as a 10-point. While I knew he traveled onto the game lands occasionally, I didn’t expect to see him. But to put the odds in my favor, I took off work for a couple of days the first week of November when a cold front moved through and it got real cold.

After two days of freezing in the stand, he walked into my shooting lane 20 minutes before dark on Nov. 2, 2023. After he was on the ground, my buddy and I had to Indian-style carry him on a pole more than a mile to the boat, and then boat several miles back to the dock. He has a gross score of 146 6/8 and a 17 1/2-inch inside spread. Thank you North Carolina for providing us hunters places we can go and make memories that will last a lifetime!
