Naomi Scheer’s Rockingham County buck

10-point buck green-scored 125 inches

Naomi Scheer of Reidsville, N.C. killed her first ever deer, a 10-point Rockingham County buck, on Sept. 17, 2022. The buck has been green-scored at 125 inches. She shot it with a crossbow.

It was a deer her husband had noticed on trail camera photos in an area he’s killed his share of nice deer.

“I had this buck on camera and thought it would be a great first deer. I’ve killed a lot of nice bucks out of this spot, including this buck’s father, and I wanted my wife to get one,” said James Scheer.
