It was a good morning, with a lot of chasing going on. The past couple of days, I’ve seen several smaller deer. This guy only gave us daytime photos a couple of times, and has been gone for some time. But about 7 a.m. on Nov. 14, 2023, an 8-pointer comes in, talking all kinds of fuss. Three minutes later, this buck we call Freddie Krueger came up through the creek looking to haunt some dreams. He gave me a 30-yard shot. The Ravin crossbow R10 got to eat…good times!
