It was the quickest hunt of his life
Ethan Cox killed this Guilford County buck on Nov. 16, 2021 during an afternoon hunt. He shot the buck with a Ruger All American .308 bolt action rifle. He had trail cameras of the 7-point buck, but had never seen it in the flesh before that day.
Cox said he had barely started hunting when the deer showed up.
“It was my quickest hunt ever in my life. I spent less than 5 minutes in the deer stand,” he said.
He shot the deer from 20 yards away. It was inside the tree line next to an open field when he pulled the trigger.
