Afternoon

Been watching the buck the last 4 years. I got kinda worried bc he normally showed up in July but he made his 1st appearance early August this year. And finally I got my trail cam pic of him aug 2nd
I kept minerals out all summer to help with growth.
Finally deer season wasn’t far away I went in and brushed in a ground blind aug 5th to get him used to it being there .. you couldn’t even see it with the eye I had it brushed in so good. I hunt afternoons early season. Never morings till after October 10th. But. Opening day i slipped down into the stand and got set up early like 2pm. It was warm. The sun was beating down and I was pouring sweat.. thank God I had an east wind that day and I had my ozonics going to help. Some does stepped out at 6pm and then later at 630 some more little bucks then. At 6:55 on the dot he popped out of thr thick brush followed by another deer i been watching for last 4 years as well the both walked out and started to the corn pile as I watched shaking he finally gave me a broadside shot at 25 yards I drew back and let the swacker broached eat. He whipped around and run 45 yards and piled up and the rest is history. Wanted to give him another year but with the surrounding construction and other hunters I let one fly. So glad i did !
