Codi-Layne Ellixson, 13 of Person County, killed her 1st deer ever & what a unique one it is, 10 countable pts, Codi-Layne was in a box stand with about 12 doe out in the field when around 4:45pm this buck stepped out & started chasing a doe, the doe ran down the field straight to the corn pile & the buck stopped just long enough for her to to put a shot in him, he back rolled, jumped up & ran for the cut over, we called Donald Vaughn out to bring his tracking dog Bubba & within minutes we were taking pictures.
