I missed this buck the 3 weeks ago and didn’t think I would get another chance until this morning when I climbed into my single man stand in frigid temperatures. On my last chill about to give up on the hunt I hear two bucks converging on my shooting lane where it also looked like the two sparred that night… I finally catch a glimpse 100yds into the woods and I’m just praying he walks in and he sure did as comfortably as he could possibly be and my 12 gauge did not let me down today. Not only was the mass on this big guy at almost 6 inches on the main beams, one of my pellets hit the antler and only cracked it.
