On Oct. 13, 2021, I was sitting in my stand and just the night before I killed a doe and a seven point. My mind was set in why am I sitting I won’t see anything in this stand tonight. So I continued to sit, then I hear rustling to my right and look to see a nice looking doe walk out and I decided I’m not gonna shoot because the rut is right around the corner.
The doe doesn’t stay long and takes off to the back of my shooting lane. I start playing on my phone and happen to look up and see a whitetail in the trees. I look and see this massive deer. I get the rifle up as the deer goes behind a tree and as soon as he comes out I pull the trigger and drop him just shy of the corn pile.
