Mom! Tell dad to throw it back!

The Carolina Sportsman Photo of the Week for the third full week of January 2021 is of the Brewer family from Home Branch, S.C. While fishing inshore along the Carolina coast, Daniel Brewer hooked and landed a good-sized bonnethead shark. The family had been catching redfish throughout the trip, so the shark was a bit of a surprise.

Daniel and his wife Brooke appreciated the moment, but daughters Brynli and Whitley were a little bit unconvinced they wanted to be in the same boat with the creature. Check out the expressions on the girls’ faces. That’s what family fishing moments are all about!

The Brewers released the shark and enjoyed catching a few more redfish.
