The shad bite is in full swing

It’s tough to beat the Carolina shad bite in the springtime. Robert Harris was fishing out of Battle Park on the Tar River when he caught this shad.

Anglers are catching these fish on a variety of lures like curly tail grubs on 1/16-ounce jigheads, Joe’s Fly, and sabiki rigs.
