Dennis Robinson’s Pamlico Sound red drum

Dennis Robinson caught this red drum in the Pamlico Sound on cut mullet.

The fish hit a 7-foot heavy rod and doubled it over on a circle hook. After a 5-minute fight and two big hard runs on a Daiwa Sealine 40, and 50-pound test line, the fish was at the boat and landed. The fish was soon released. Several other large drum were caught on the trip.
