James Thomas’ first saltwater adventure

James Thomas’s First Saltwater Fishing Adventure “The Day of First’s”

James caught the biggest fish of the day. 27” Red that I am helping him hold. It was his first time saltwater fishing, fishing from a boat, catching a spot-tail bass, and catching a trout. It was also his first time using a spinning rod. Another cool part of the story is that James caught his first spot-tail bass on the same 1987 Boston Whaler that my sister and I both caught our first spot-tails on. We also all caught them in the same creek. The older gentlemen in the photo with the black drum is my father, James’s grandfather. It was 3 generations all fishing together for the first time. We caught like 10 Reds and 20 trout all in all. Great day on the water that I will never forget.

Caught out of Beaufort, SC.
